Farewell and rest in peace

This post is dedicated to John, who is the partner of my hubby’s sister, father to their daughter, he passed away due to Covid 19 two days ago, in London.  They haven’t seen him for months, they were not allowed to visit him in hospital, nor the last meet after he left. The daughter, 20 years old, very very sad.  I feel sorry for them, my condolence to the whole family.

The situation in the UK has been quite bad since the beginning of the pandemic, after a short break, recently started picking up again. I guess that was why John got it. He was a good man, fanny, but careless.

I could not imagine what kind of emotion rollercoaster the family has gone through so far, I just wished that John didn’t bear too much pain during the journey and he rests in peace now.

I pray that the vaccine can be tested successful soonest and less people, less countries will be affected from now on.  Finally we will conquer Covid19.

“A light that shines in the dark, a light that darkness could not overpower.”

John 1:5

Infinite power and love

Lord God, we entrust to you the families and communities

affected by Coronavirus, wherever they may be.

We pray especially for health care workers, that you may guide and protect them.

We pray that your Spirit might inspire those researching new medicines and treatments.

And in the midst of this, keep us strong in faith, hope and love. Grant us the courage and perseverance to be good neighbours.

May the words of your Son Jesus Christ in the Our Father,

be our prayer as we entrust ourselves and all of us who are affected

to your infinite power and love.

Amen.
