If you have read my previous posts, we were quite happy that we fled from Europe in Feb. and came to Taiwan, the place had gone through 2020 without many Covid cases locally and everyone here almost lived a normal life.
Things did go well for 2+ months, until…
In early May, we started to hear the news that due to some loose policy of airline staff and some really poor behavior of someone who got Covid, the virus started to spread in the communities. Then on May 17, we received the notice that the school will be closed. Since then, we have been stuck at home…
I don’t really want to get involved in the politics and the argument online and offline have been too much, but I have to say, i am a bit disappointed about how TW is prepared for the outbreak. Or the government hasn’t thought about TW would ever have a Covid outbreak, there is no vaccine available for mass public to have. So from the media, I got to know that Japan, US started donating some vaccine to Taiwan. 100,000 AZ vaccine donated has reported over 200 sudden cardiac death cases after people taking the shots… anyways. We just stay at home most of the time. Still.
Level 3 restriction has been extended 3 times, the next review date is July 12th. I am not too sure about the current situation, as these days Delta virus has been the key talking point around the world, Taiwan has about close to 20 cases? Vaccination is still on going, so everything is still a question mark.
We will just keep calm and stay strong…
